Who Is Natchie?

natchie is Australian singer/songwriter Nadia Ackerman and the artistic force behind natchie.

Early 1998 Nadia decided to pack her suitcase and move from her native Sydney, Australia to New York City to pursue her dream of being a jazz singer in the big apple. six pop albums, appearances on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, SNL and Good Morning America, and performances with music industry greats including Sting, James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and Billy Joel later.. she has crammed a lot into her career as a singer.

In 2012, Nadia began to see her songs as images, and felt an overwhelming desire to draw her music. Out of this desire was born “natchie“ (from the nickname her dad gave to her when she was 13).At natchie , Nadia draws each of her songs; each piece of art comes with lyrics and a free download code to own the song. In addition to selling at various markets, Nadia has partnered with numerous brands including launching “natchie“ in Japan with “Loft “ department stores, creating a limited edition water bottle with Dopper Bottle in The Netherlands, Limited edition baby blankets with Aden and Anais.

You can also find her artwork inside the “epilepsy ward for children“ at Montefiore hospital in the bronx. Nadia is currently working with The BedHead Pajama Company creating a brand new line of books, baby blankets and pajamas.

Nadia continues to sing, write and perform and just about to release her 7th Pop album which will be available on all digital platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

Since the pandemic that hit the world natchie has been home creating every day. She has started to paint and is currently creating a new body of oil paintings based on her dreams at night “About Last Night“. These pieces will be launching April 8, 2022 at Established Gallery in Brooklyn.

natchie was also most recently awarded a cow to paint as part of the NYC “Cow Parade“ Cow Parade is an international public art exhibit that has featured in major world cities.

Fiberglass sculptures of cows are decorated by local artists, and distributed over the city centre, in public places such as train stations, important avenues, and parks.

They often feature artwork and designs specific to local culture, as well as city life and other relevant themes.
